Film Studies small analysis on my favourite film

My favourite film is green street, its about and American guy who is studying journalism and gets sets up at university over taking drugs he takes the rap for the guy he is living with and comes over to England to stay with his sister, he then meets his brother-in-law’s brother who is a football hooligan.

He hooks up him and the brother takes him out to pub where all the football hooligans go, he then takes him to a football game. Later on in the film the Ilgia Wood starts to get in to football and becomes a football hooligan.

I like this film because I can relate to it; it’s a real life film and is likely to happen on a day to day basis. i think it is also easy to relate to as I live near to London and can relate to it when I see the underground stations. I do not normally like football but I think the film is easy to get in to and funny.

It also contains sadness and a sense of love and family life which i can share emotions with this as I am close to my family, the film gives of the impression that it is heartless and it is just all about beating people up, which it is but it is more then that it is about reputation and fighting for what you believe in which makes me proud that people will stand up for what they believe is right.

It might be seen as a violent film but it shows the good and bad of getting involved in being a football hooligan, it shows you the respect and friendship you get but also, how it could all end up in a bad situation.

It shows normal working class guys going to football and fighting which what a lot of guys do in England, maybe not so much now but in the 90’s.
